 AOS

I’ve used Anthony’s products for some time now and can honestly say that they have helped me and my family stay in fantastic shape through the use of challenging kettlebell workouts.  I first bought AOS Providence as a downloadable MP3, and played it on our home computer while my wife and I exercised along one Winter.  Over the course of several weeks, we would hurry home to our chilly house and raise the inside temperature by doing 45 minutes of intense kettlebell fitness work!  I’m not joking!  The windows of the room we were exercising in would become steamed up with the effort we were applying to the moves in Providence.

Several months later, I bought Anthony’s companion workout guide to Pavel Tsatsouline’s Enter The Kettlebell (ETK), and once again, I wasn’t disappointed.  I’m kind of a here it is, do it like this kind of guy, so having each ETK workout spelled out for me, made it much easier to keep up with the program until both my wife and I finished it.

Besides Anthony’s books and MP3 workouts, I’ve purchased a re-loadable Bulldog kettlebell and one of the new AOS Punch kettlebells.  Both products are of excellent quality and are made in the U.S.A.

With that said, if my opinion doesn’t sway you, check out what these happy AOS customers said:

Hello Anthony -

After being involved in a horrific car accident, I ordered your Providence DVD to help me rehab and get back into shape. I followed your workout to a “T”and have since lost 25 lbs in the past 4 months. My strength is through the roof. As I continued to make progress, people around the gym I currently attend began to notice and ask for advice on how to use kettelbells. I now am seriously considering taking that to the next level in the form of getting certified and also possibly opening a Punch Gym in Charleston, S.C. Any information that you can pass along to me regarding the next steps in this process that I would need to take would be greatly appreciated. I also want to thank you for helping guide me through your DVD. I look forward to continuing to grow.

Sincerely,

John A. Sereque

Anthony Diluglio’s kettlebell DVD series has pushed my fitness level to new heights. They have increased my power, endurance, flexibility and agility beyond what I felt was possible. As a competitive triathlete, his training techniques have helped exceed my racing goals. In my first racing season after kettlebell training with Anthony’s DVD’s, I set two new personal records. I feel and look like a warrior forged in kettlebell cast iron. Long Live The Bells! Thanks Anthony.

I started training with KB’s four months ago and cannot believe the transformation in my body. I started with very light KB’s and gradually increased weight at my own speed. KB training is a great all-around workout encompassing strength and endurance training. In four months I have lost over 20 pounds, have more than doubled my endurance during cardio workouts and feel great! Best of all (and for the first time in my forty plus years) my arms have nice definition. I may actually wear a sleeveless shirt this summer!

I had sworn off weights forever after only producing bulky unbalanced arms and legs. Since discovering the kettle bell, I have tone, balance, and muscle definition from my core out to my fingers and toes. For the first time since pregnancy, I can wear body conscious clothing with glee. I found my waist again and I’m never giving it back!

My name is Anthony Angeles (my friends call me Tony), I am from Bloomington, MN and I am currently a student at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. In high school I was the captain of the football team and started on the offensive line. Hence, as a lineman, I weighed over 280lbs and never thought that I could lose the weight (I figured that being a slow, lethargic, immovable object that protects his quarterback was my fate) until I found kettlebells. Thanks to kettlebells, and especially the Enter the Kettlebell: Right of Passage Workbook by Pavel and Anthony, within two years I had lost 80lbs and was down around 200lbs for the first time in a long time. And today (four years later) I can happily say I am under 200lbs and I still lovin’ my kettlebells (I even have kettlebell tattoos). I can honestly say that kettlebells changed my life and I cannot wait to go through kettlebell certification so that some day I can help change someone’s life the same way that Pavel and Anthony changed mine.

Thanks,

Anthony Angeles

My name is Liberty Seekee, I live on an remote Island with a population of 700 in the Torres Strait, Australia.

Of course there is no Commercial Gym on the Island and there’s a shortage of people interested in working out whether it’s on the BJJ Mat or in a Home Gym.

After my first daughter was born like most other parents I soon got out of shape and stayed that way, that was until I discovered KB’s in 2005. KB are great but I find it difficult to keep the momentum going once I start working out.

This all changed in January 2006 I started following AOS Providence DVD and soon the AOS Providence MP3. I lost over 20 pounds since following AOS, thats good but what I found most impressive is my overall change in Body Composition, my strength endurance on the BJJ Mat has literally been tripled.

My weight still seesaws back and forth as I’m not a dieter but I’m happy to say I find it easier to get back on track after returning from Vacations.

These days I’ve been following strictly AOS Firepower on DVD and save AOS Providence for travelling with my MP3 Player and Pack Weight.

Thanks AOS.

Hi,

My name is Brendan O’Reilly and I’m a personal trainer in Australia. I came across the Art of Strength and Punch Kettlebell Gym on the internet about 18 months ago, and have taken on much of your philosophy and techniques and passed them on, with great success, to my clients. Needless to say my clients have achieved great results and can hardly believe the physical transformations they achieve in such limited time.

I’m a firm believer in educating clients, not just telling them what to do; they need to know why they are doing it. Consequently, I encourage my clients to join the A.O.S mailing list and keep up-to-date with skills and exercises by watching the ‘minute of strength’ videos.

I’ve also found great personal success following workouts from the Art of Strength, and I’ve never felt stronger and more stable than I do now. I always feel fresh for my workouts, and am able to give 100% to my clients, whilst maintaining and developing my own physical conditioning.

To demonstrate how effective your workouts are, I’ve included three pictures of a client who I trained two to three times per week. Due to his high-level executive job, my client had limited time, so we used kettlebell workouts and various rope drills to get good overall calorie burn and strength development in limited time. One key which I picked up from A.O.S videos, and emphasized to all my clients was safety and perfect technique at all times. This particular executive client achieved results which surpassed his goals during a 16 week training period, losing 20kg. I have attached three photographs to illustrate his transformation using A.O.S workouts and techniques. The first photograph was taken on day 1 of training, the second at week 6, and the third at week twelve. The 16 week training period saw my client achieve his initial goal of being below 90kg for his recent wedding. Furthermore, I have imparted my knowledge gained from the A.O.S and ‘minute of strength’ videos to him, and his entire lifestyle has changed; he literally has fun with his training DAILY!

To the Art of Strength, thank you, I owe you a lot as you’ve helped me develop as a trainer and mentor.

Regards,

Brendan O’Reilly BaAppSc

Name: Faisal Hasan

Age: 26

My weight crept up to and then hovered around 275lbs after high school. 5 months ago I began dieting and using a kettlebell for resistance training. Since then I have lost 50lbs and gained some muscle, and noticed how particularly well the movements with the kettlebell can work your entire body. I designed my routine using the exercises I saw in Anthony’s clips on Minute of Strength. I haven’t purchased any of the AOS DVD’s yet, but they are most certainly on my list. Another small victory for me is that two weeks ago, my girlfriend also purchased her first kettlebell, after seeing how much fun I have with mine. I keep it around always while I study and knock off snatches between chapters, or I’ll just pick it up and press it or row it anytime I walk by it. It is a symbol of strength to me, reminds me to keep pushing myself, and makes me want to be active. Makes a fine conversation piece too because it seems like no one knows what it is when they first see it, but hopefully that won’t last long.

Anthony and Dennis,

Unfortunately I do not have any before or after pictures and I already own all of Anthony’s DVD’s. But I would be willing to share my story if interested. I started Kettlebell training with Anthony’s DVD’s on January 4th, I was 205 pounds at 5′6″. With proper dieting and utilizing Anthony’s DVD’s every Tuesday, Wed and Saturday I have managed to get myself down to 178 pounds as of this morning (March 17th). I will continue until I hit my goal weight of 160 pounds.

I do owe Anthony a lot as his DVD’s have been fantastic for me. I do not find the workouts boring at all and as I get stronger I am able to increase my weights to feel like I am a beginner all over again.

Regards,

Paul

I am a 38 year old single mom living on the island of Maui, and I love kettlebells, and I swing them around almost every day. That, combined with a raw foods vegan diet, and I am down from 205 to 155 since July of 07. I’ve been turning other women on the island of Maui on to kettlebells too, and we have a whole little fan club of girls (and since no stores sell them here, we have to hoodwink someone coming from the Mainland to bring them to us! So we’re actually very hardcore!) My massage therapist, who is a very buff guy, is so impressed by the muscle tone that I have developed that he is trying to get himself some kettlebells too…

Strength plus flexibility, and my upper back and shoulders (chronically tight) feel awesome!

I am really grateful to Anthony and the very motivational minute of strength video clips. Those were my introduction to kettlebells on YouTube, and they were really inspiring to me.

Hey Dennis

Here is my quick KB weight loss Bio

In June of 2007 I started at Egan’s Karate Academy in Bow NH at 285 Lbs.

Started Basic Karate classes to try and get back in to shape and lose some weight.

After attending Karate for about 3 weeks I saw Mr. Egan instructing Kettlebell classes.

After watching a few of these classes I was hooked. So I started in and joined the Kettlebell class as well. After getting sick of taking pills for years for Diabetes and high Blood Pressure I decided to change my diet as well.

So after having diabetes for about 7 years and high blood pressure to go along with it, I can now say after taking Karate and Kettlebell class as well as a life style (Diet) change that I am off all meds (Zero Zip Nadda). The good part is I have been able to keep the weight off and maintain the 248.

My Next goal is 225 once the summer starts.

Oh forgot to mention, I started my Kettlebell class using a 36 Lber moved to 44’s after about a month. Worked in 55’s and right now have been mixing in a 70.

This week’s inspiration comes to us from the Powel Family of lands unknown.

Susan Powel writes to us and tells us she first purchased Art of Strength Providence for her husband after years of using kettlebells on their own with little results. She writes “…I felt compelled to write to you and tell you that your workouts have by far given me the greatest results I have ever seen.” She goes on to say, “My husband purchased kettlebells for us and I have to say when I started using them, I honestly couldn’t see myself sticking with this, I felt awkward and found some of the exercises to be difficult to say the least, but my husband would not let me give it up. We are both, uh lets just say “middle aged” 46 and 47 years old. In the three weeks that we have been doing this workout, 45 minutes, 3 days a week, I have dropped my body fat by 2% and put on 2 lbs of muscle. He has lost 5lbs of fat and gained 1 lb of muscle. I have seen my body transform in that my ‘trouble areas’ are no longer trouble. This is the best whole body workout I have ever used.”

Fantastic job Powel’s! Speaking from experience the Providence routine is no easy workout to get through. We’ve done it many times in the gym and it’s always a killer. We feel your pain! Keep it up and as Anthony says “Enjoy the journey”, that is, take your time, don’t rush it and with time everything will fall into place.

Great job and keep up the good work – keep us posted!

This week’s Inspiration comes from Chris Tybor of New York’s ChrisFit Personal Training.

Chris Tybor shared the story of one of his clients, Chris Ellingson, who first began training with him shortly after leaving the US Marines to care for his ailing mother. With no time to train, he found himself at his heaviest weight, finding it difficult to complete even a single lunge. Now after 20 weeks, he has lost an amazing 41 pounds and shed an astounding 15.25 inches! His last body fat test put him at under 15%, that’s down from over 30% at the beginning.

Mixing traditional forms of exercise with kettlebell training, Tybor set forth basic, realistic goals for Ellingson. As Ellingson recounts, “1 or 2 pound weight loss per week until I reach my goal weight of 165 pounds.” Ellingson has remained motivated through the entire process because Tybor has constantly been there persistently driving and motivating him throughout the training.

Beyond the gains in confidence and energy, Ellingson says his most important improvement is his quality of life, being able to “live his life to the fullest.”

Everyone here at Art of Strength congratulates Chris Ellingson on all his success and wish him all the best on his continued weight loss. At times it’s difficult to stay motivated, especially being right in the midst of the holiday season, so it’s nice to see what others have been able to do. We all have goals that we would like to meet, whether it be losing weight, gaining muscle, snatching a heavier kettlebell or pressing that log over your head. We all struggle and we all have that feeling that we’ll never reach our goal. Today, let Chris Ellingson be your inspiration; to stay in the game, to not give up. Though Chris has yet to cross his finish line, he now has it in sight, and in the beginning when his marathon started, that couldn’t have been further from the truth. Each day he committed himself to being better was one day closer to his goal, it was one step closer to his finish line. Everyone’s marathon starts with a step, a day where we say “today is the day that I commit myself to a better life”. No more “cheat days”, no more, “I’ll start my diet on Monday”, today is my D-Day, today I live better. That first step is the hardest, but they get easier, commit yourself to your self, commit yourself to a better life, finish your race and never give up. Thank you Chris for showing us what a finish line can look like. Good luck on your journey…we’re cheering you on.
