Dealing With Training Setbacks – Rite of Passage Week 6/7

(I wrote this on Memorial Day and thought I posted it. Unfortunately it didn’t get published. Sorry about the delay.)

Here we are in week 7 and we’re having to repeat Week 6. I was called out on Saturday night and have been working nearly straight through since then. We skipped Thursday’s variety day and missed Saturday’s workout. So rather than forge ahead into week 7 and risk injury or just beat ourselves down, we’re repeating week 6.

Today we completed last Monday’s workout. No changes for the Clean and Press with 4 ladders of 3 rungs. And we did an easy 70 snatches in 7 minutes. I finished with jandas, straight-leg sit-ups and stretching.

Tomorrow is our variety day. Just for kicks, we’re going to do rounds 1-12, instead of repeating the same rounds as before.
