Training To Go The Distance

We had our first TNT training ride through the countryside around Livermore last Saturday.  Luckily the rain stayed away as we pedaled 22 miles.  No flats or crashes!  This was our first time covering that kind of distance, but we both made it without any difficulties.  I credit our work with kettlebells and remembering why we’re riding.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 before we ride the Solvang Century next March. I did a few calculations this morning and found that:

If all my Facebook Friends were to donate just $1.00, we could raise $1,084.00 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

If everyone were to donate $2.00, we’d raise $2,168.00

$5.00 each would raise $5,420.00.

$10.00 each would raise $10,840.00.

And $25.00 each would raise $27,100.00!!!

The more I’m involved with Team in Training, the more I realize that many of us know or are related to someone who has or is fighting some type of cancer. What many people don’t know, if that the research efforts into finding a cure for blood cancers benefits the fight against other cancers as well.

Please visit our page, meet our honorees and make a donation to help cure blood cancers:

Can my readers help us make our goal?  Even $1 or $2?

Go Team!
